The Pakistani cricket players are currently in the process of hammering out the terms of the contract to be signed with the PCB. However they want that the contracts should reflect and make compensations for the financial loss that is suffered by the players because of the Indian Premier League ban.

Is recession seeing face to face with the Indian Premier League, as it seems to be happening with ICL? The major advertisement companies who were advertising in the inaugural session are keeping their fingers crossed and waiting for the tournament to unfold and then commit the advertisement for matches. Indian Cricket League which has postponed the March chapter of matches, under the pretext that the players of Pakistan are not available to play the matches, also is not forthcoming on the real reason. It is felt that the real reason is that the marketing endorsements are not coming, and without them coming, it would indeed be neigh but impossible to conduct the tournament.
